With heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce the death of our beloved Director of Administration Cyndi Bodin Romero.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, September 6, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Cyndi, who died Friday, September 3 in New Iberia at the young age of 53. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM .
Born on November 29, 1956 , Cyndi was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia . She enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Cyndi was a very caring and giving person.
Survivors include her husband, Carroll J. Romero of New Iberia ; daughter, Chenee Romero Broussard and husband Tony Broussard, Jr. of Youngsville; son, Chase Romero and wife Alexis of Maurice; father, Daniel J. Bodin, Sr. and wife Agnes of New Iberia; mother, Audrey Desormeaux Brignac and companion Rogers Trahan of St. Martinville; brother, Danny Bodin, Jr. and wife Connie of Loreauville; sisters, Debbie Comeaux and husband Russell of New Iberia, Sheryl Abney and husband Donald of Greer, South Carolina; grandchildren, Colton Broussard, Malik Broussard; step granddaughter, Mayci Richard; and a grandchild due to arrive in April.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Bodin; paternal grandparents, Wesley J. Bodin and Germaine Guzardo Bodin; maternal grandparents, Emile Desormeaux and Edith Landry Ronsonet.
Pallbearers will be Tony Broussard, Danny Bodin, Jr., Raymond Romero, Charlie Thompson, Frank Chachere, and Duane Perero. Honorary pallbearers include Jerome Gaspard.
